‘Very Creative’ Midfielder to Miss Clash Due to Injury: Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Nottingham Forest

Coming off of an impressive 4-1 victory over Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to achieve back-to-back victories as they travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest. With a new injury within the team to consider, Last Word on Football brings you the predicted lineup for the Lilywhites.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Nottingham Forest

How Tottenham Have Lined Up Recently

Despite giving up a late consolation goal, Ange Postecoglou should be happy with his backline’s performance against the Magpies. Cristian Romero and Ben Davies each had good performances with the Welsh international having a sliding clearance that surely saved a goal. Pedro Porro grabbed an assist, and Destiny Udogie scored for the first time in the Premier League. Just a few days later, the 21-year-old Italian was awarded a contract extension as a result of his quality performances so far this season.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr reignited their early-season partnership in the midfield for the first time in multiple games. The duo provided a consistent outlet for the attackers while winning the ball back defensively. As long as either one of them doesn’t get injured or suspended, their places in the starting lineup will likely remain untouched.

As for the attackers, Son Heung-Min and Richarlison provided almost all of the offense: scoring three goals and providing two assists between them. Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson also provided goal-scoring threats of their own despite not making it on the score sheet.

Changes We May See

The biggest change we may see could come in terms of positioning. With Son’s captivating performance on the wing, Ange Postecoglou may keep him there as long as he’s creating chances. As for the rest of the squad, it is unlikely that the rest of the starting lineup will change unless a sudden injury occurs before the contest.

Injuries to Consider

After a string of good outings, Giovani Lo Celso has picked up an injury that will make him miss the match. Although he likely wouldn’t have started over his Senegalese and Malian teammates, the Argentine, who was described as “very creative” by Ange Postecoglou, would have been a good bench option.

With the new year approaching, the members of the club who are on the injury list should start to gradually come back to full fitness, but for now, there is no real update on those who are still unavailable.

Tottenham Predicted Lineup

Vicario, Porro, Romero, Davies, Udogie, Bissouma, Sarr, Johnson, Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison
